Smallest Number From Digits

Formation of Smallest Number:

To form a smallest number from the four digits given:

1. Place the smallest digit at the thousands place.

2. Place the second smallest digit at the hundreds place

3, Place the third smallest digit at tens place

4. Place the greatest digit at ones place

For example to form the smallest three digit number with the digits 2, 7, 6 and 9.

Step 1: 2 is the smallest number in the digits 2, 7, 6 and 9 We will place 2 at thousands position

Step 2: 6 is the second smallest number in the digits 2, 7, 6 and 9 . We will place 6 at hundreds position

Step 3: 7 is the third smallest number in the digits 2, 7, 6 and 9 So we will place 7 at tens position

Step 4: 9 is the greatest  number in the digits 2, 7, 6 and 9 . So we will place 9 at ones position

Hence the smallest four digit number formed by the digits 2, 7, 6 and 9 is 2679.
